Nijmegen Central Station is within walking distance of the Nijmegen city centre. If you prefer, you can take a taxi or travel by bus or bicycle – there’s no better way to become acquainted with Nijmegen and the surrounding region!
Train
Nijmegen is easily reached by public transport. The city has five railway stations (Nijmegen Central Station, Nijmegen Dukenburg, Nijmegen Heyendaal, Nijmegen Lent and Nijmegen Goffert). Nijmegen Central Station is Nijmegen’s main railway station and has an excellent connection to:
–Arnhem (12 minutes, platform 3, direct connection);
–Utrecht (54 minutes, platform 3, direct connection);
–Schiphol Airport ((1.30 minutes, platform 3, transfer at Utrecht Centraal);
–Rotterdam Central Station (1.40 minutes, transfer at Breda Central Station/Utrecht Central Station);
–Amsterdam Central Station (1.30 minutes, platform 3, direct connection).

Bus Services Breng is the public transport company in the Arnhem/Nijmegen region.

Cycling
NS bicycle: you need a bicycle subscription. You can subscribe online. It takes a few days before your subscription is activated. It is not possible to rent a bicycle without a bicycle subscription. This is not an option for tourists and day visitors. Visit www.ns.nl/en
Private bicycle rental companies offer various options for exploring Nijmegen and its surroundings by bike.
